Improving on
the previous E-Class certainly proved to be a challenge, but we're
confident that we've accomplished it. The new E-Class has been kitted
out with the latest Mercedes-Benz technology such as the innovative
braking system, SBCTM, advanced air suspension, AirMATIC DC and
wireless key technology, Keyless-Go. All this is concealed within
the seriously sleek lines of the exterior. Take some time to appreciate
the coupe-style silhouette and the striking twin headlights, with
Bi-Xenon bulbs that come as standard with the Avantgarde trim.
The E-Class represents the heart of the Mercedes-Benz
brand. For most, it is simply a Mercedes-Benz in its purest form.
The E-Class has only been known as such since 1993, when this designation
was first introduced. The origins of this extremely successful model
series, which has always combined outstanding comfort and unbeatable
reliability with top levels of safety and innovative technology,
go back over 50 years, beginning with the legendary Mercedes-Benz
"Ponton" of 1953. Another five generations followed before
the arrival of the E-Class, which surprised everybody with its much
admired four-eyed face when it was unveiled in 1995.
